ROCHESTER, NY (WIVB) - A Rochester area teen was given the maximum term of 20 years in prison for stabbing a classmate inside a Wegmans Supermarket .
Kevin Minier, 19, of Henrietta went before Judge Victoria Argento Friday in a Rochester court.
Minier pleaded guilty in October to attempted second-degree assault, first-degree assault and second-degree assault, all felonies. He said he got a knife in the Calkins Road Wegmans and repeatedly stabbed Nicole M. Bean, then 17, and another teen who came to her aid on January 25th.
Bean, who is now a student at a Maryland college, lost sight in her left eye and suffered injuries to her hands.
