BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Western New York movie theaters were a battleground at midnight Friday between "Team Edward" and "Team Jacob."
Twilight fans sold out theaters around the region for the midnight showings of "Breaking Dawn: Part 1," the fourth movie in the blockbuster franchise telling the story of a girl caught in a conflict between vampires and werewolves.
News 4 found a huge crowd that filled four of the five theaters that were showing the movie at Regal Cinemas in North Buffalo. Fans said that being among the first to see the film was well worth the loss of sleep.
Plenty of people won't be seeing the movie, though.
"It was the best movie ever, I've ever seen," raved Twilight fan Gianna. When asked what movie it passed atop her list, she said, "The third one."
"I think it was worth it, I think the ending was suspenseful," said fan Mike Smith. "The next movie is going to be awesome; I can't wait to come see it."
"Breaking Dawn: Part 2," the last movie in the series, is due out November 16, 2012.
