AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - More high school girls will get to enjoy prom night thanks to generous western New Yorkers. Colvin Cleaners collected new and gently-used gowns Saturday at the Boulevard Mall in Amherst.
Once again they’re teaming up with News 4, CW 23 and several other sponsors for Gowns 4 Proms. The gowns are given to underprivileged girls and this year there is an even greater need.

“Oh, it's just very heartwarming just to see their faces, you know the smiles, they get so excited to come in. We're very fortunate. This is our ninth year of doing this,” said Cyndee Billoni of Colvin Cleaners. “Normally we concentrate on the Buffalo schools but this year we're expanding to all the schools because the need is everywhere.”
You can donate a dress to TT New York at the mall, Colvin Cleaners or WIVB and WNLO on Elmwood Avenue.
