ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Gates woman is facing charges, stemming from a Christmas Eve incident at a home in the Town of Attica.

State Police say 23-year-old Amanda L. Merrell stole a bottle of medication which was prescribed to another person. Merrell was arrested on an active warrant of arrest for petit larceny on Friday.

Merrell will return to Attica Court at a later date to answer charges.
