Woman charged in death of ferret

So. Tier woman facing animal cruelty charge

DAYTON, NY (WIVB) - A Southern Tier woman was arrested Thursday and charged with Animal Cruelty after moving out of her home and leaving a ferret to die.

Cattaraugus Sheriff's Deputies say Lisa M. Miller, 40, of Dayton, abandoned the ferret, leaving it with no food or water.

Miller was issued an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Dayton Town Court on August 2nd.
