Woman won $2.7M for wrongful conviction

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A woman has won a $2.7 million wrongful imprisonment settlement from New York State.

Lynn Dejac served 13 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted in the 1993 murder of her daughter, Crystallyn Girard. New DNA evidence vacated her conviction four years ago and she sued the state for $14 million.
