Wrapping up final day of Oinktoberfest

NEWSTEAD, N.Y. (WIVB) - The first weekend of a popular festival wrapped up in Newstead today.

Today marks the final day of Oinktoberfest at the Great Pumpkin Farm on Main Street.

Once the BBQ Rib competition is over, there's still plenty more happening on the farm.

Great Pumpkin Farm Operations Manager Katie Toth says, "From now until the end of the month we're open every day from 10 (am) to dusk; every weekend we have special events going on. We have the World Pumpkin Weigh-off, we've got the Pumpkin Olympics, the pumpkin drop, trebuchet, pie eating, all kinds of things going on every weekend."

There's plenty of pumpkins to buy too at the farm along with cider and souvenirs.
