SHELDON, N.Y. (WIVB) - Family members continue to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the crash of Flight 3407.
Jean Marie Srnecz was a well-known executive in the publishing and entertainment industry.
But loved ones Monday remembered her as the farmer's daughter from Strykersville.
Jean Marie Marzholf was one of twelve children who grew up in a tight knit Roman Catholic family.
She was educated in Buffalo and joined Baker and Taylor in 1975, rising to become senior vice president of merchandising. She was well-respected in the industry.
She was flying back for a visit in Buffalo aboard Flight 3407.
Jean Marie's fiance lives in East Aurora, and her funeral Monday was held in the church they were to be married in in the Town of Sheldon.
Jean Marie's sister Marilyn Marzholf said, "Jean was simply the best; the best daughter, the best mother, the best fiance', the best sister, the best aunt, the best friend, the best colleague you could ever have."
Jean Marie's fiance Paul Jonmaire said, "Farmer's daughter, tough business woman - she led a life of total commitment. The irony of commitment is that it is liberating and it frees one to work, to play, and to love. She was committed to her daughter Kristen, Baker and Taylor, her church and her friends."
Since Jean Marie Srnecz had lived for so many years in New Jersey, a memorial service is planned there at a later date.
Donations in Jean Marie's memory can be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Jean Marie was a breast cancer survivor.
