MEDINA, NY (WIVB) - A holiday tradition in Medina continues to grow. The Christmas celebration and Parade of Lights took place Saturday, coinciding with Small Business Saturday.
Last year nearly 10,000 people attended the event and this year they expected even more. There were several fun family events all day featuring various businesses in Medina and the highlight of the day is the Parade of Lights.
“The Parade of Lights started four years ago. We had the first year, maybe 15 floats.," said Cindy Robinson, president of the Medina Business Association. "The next year it doubled to 30 floats. Last year we had to limit it to 60 floats otherwise we’d be here all night.”
And they wouldn’t want to be there all night because they’re waiting for Santa Claus, the grand finale!
