Medtronic infusion set recall

NORTHRIDGE, CA (WIVB) - Medtronic Incorporated's diabetes business unit is recalling quick-set infusion sets that have a lot number starting with the number "8."
They are used with mini-med insulin pumps.
The company says it has identified a small percentage of infusion sets that are not allowing the insulin pump to vent properly. That could result in either too much, or too little insulin being delivered to the body. That could lead to serious injury or death.
If you have a set that starts with the number 8, you should stop using it and contact the company for a replacement.
