BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - New York's senior senator is pushing to tighten security loop holes at power plants.

Senator Charles Schumer says the law doesn't require workers hired at most power plants to undergo FBI background checks. This comes as a federal report warns that power plants could be a target of terrorists. Senator Schumer is proposing legislation requiring fingerprints and criminal background checks on all workers of major power plants.
