BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It's usually associated with grade school children and teens but it turns out millions of adults have ADHD.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a neurological condition, actually the second most common psychiatric disorder, after depression.

The symptoms are frustrating in children.

In adults they can be devastating.

Lenard Adler, Director of the Adult ADHD Program at New York University Medical Center said, "Twice as likely to be divorced and separated, twice as likely to be unemployed and under employed, twice as likely to use substances."

Gina Overholt, diagnosed with adult ADHD said, "I could understand it would be difficult to be with somebody like me who's all over the place.

Doctors say the condition can be easily controlled with medication and therapy.
