MONTREAL, QUE. (WIVB) - The Cirque du Soleil is doing some financial acrobatics that are forcing them to lay off up to 600 workers.
The entertainment conglomerate is headquartered in Quebec and currently has a payroll of about 5,000.
Reports are that the entertainment company might have spread itself too thin.
Cirque du Soleil reportedly had a disastrous 18 month period. It was forced to close four major shows around the world – Tokyo, Macau, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
