WASHINGTON, DC (WIVB) - From parades to football games to the Turkey Talk helpline, the iconic American holiday has changed quite a bit since the Pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians gathered for the first Thanksgiving meal.

The history of Thanksgiving in America was heavily shaped by the actions of Presidents and popular culture innovations.
