WHEATFIELD, NY (WIVB) - We're following a developing story out of the Town of Wheatfield.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is reporting that a natural gas main leak forced more than 20 homes to be evacuated early Sunday morning. It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Knottingwood Drive, off Shawnee Road.
News 4 viewers say the leak was making a very loud noise. National Fuel worked to contain the leak and around 9 a.m. allowed residents to return to their homes.
