New York State's budget battle came to western New York Monday morning, with a proposed 4.5% cut to health care on the table.
The CEOs of Kaleida, ECMC, Roswell Park, and Catholic Health systems testified at a State Senate Finance committee budget hearing in Williamsville.
They asked state lawmakers and western New Yorkers to oppose the cuts.
Several disability advocate groups picketed the hearing in protest of the cuts.
The governor and state lawmakers are trying to close an estimated $3 billion dollar budget gap.
