BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Republicans' top choice to replace Chris Lee in Congress has picked up another nod.

The Independence Party has endorsed Jane Corwin for the 26th District Seat. Corwin met with members of the party over the weekend. Democrats are still fishing for their candidate.

Chris Lee resigned abruptly last month after a Craigslist scandal.
