Cuomo turns up heat on debt collectors

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is turning up the heat on rogue debt collectors.

Armed with arrest warrants, agents from the Attorney General's office and local police rounded up more than a dozen abusive collectors, accusing them of illegal debt collection practices, and grand larceny.

The suspects are expected to face charges in Cheektowaga Town Court Tuesday afternoon.
