Hochul reminds residents to express opposition

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Release: Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul reminds residents to express their opposition to the proposed passport fee increases before the March 11th deadline.

The Department of State proposes increase the cost of a passport book from $100 to $135 for adults and from $60 to $85 for a child under 16. Residents can convey their opposition through a link on the Erie County Clerk’s website , at the passport icon.

Hochul encourages citizens to apply for their passports as soon as possible in the event the new fees do go into effect. Passport applications can be processed at the Clerk’s office, 92 Franklin, 9 am to 5 pm. For on site processing for applications for groups of 10 or more, please contact Tom Garlick at 858-7754.
