Gaughan aims to downsize NY legislature

ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - He's won five downsizing victories at the town level. Now, Kevin Gaughan is setting his sights on Albany.

The civic advocate is seeking a statewide referendum to downsize the state legislature. Gaughan wants to reduce the senate to 50 members and the assembly to 125, just in time for re-districting.
