ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - New York State is getting tough with schoolyard bullies.

A new law requires school districts to protect children against bullying because of their sexual orientation, weight, ethnicity or disability. Governor David Paterson signed the Dignity for All Students act into law on Wednesday. At least one staff member in each school will be taught special instructional and counseling methods.
