ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Eleven years after the shooting death of Dr. Barnett Slepian, New York State is bolstering its laws to better protect abortion providers.
A new law makes it a felony to physically injure someone receiving or providing abortion services.
Causing physical injury is usually a misdemeanor.
