ALBANY, NY (WIVB) - Governor Paterson expects the state budget mess to be mopped up by his Monday deadline and it looks like plenty of taxes and fees will come with it.
Governor Paterson says the upcoming State Budget will include nearly $1 billion in tax hikes, fees and other revenue raisers.
Ideas still on the table include higher sales taxes on clothing, increased court fees and a new tax on sugary drinks.
In the meantime, lawmakers have agreed to restore $425 million to public schools.
