BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The New York Power Authority is generating a bigger presence in western New York.
Monday, the authority and Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown cut the ribbon on a new officer in downtown's cobblestone district.
The new office will become a leader in energy efficiency projects, preserving the authority's commitment to providing low cost hydro power.
The Power Authority also wants to reach out more to the community.
The new office sits near Buffalo's waterfront.
The Power Authority is providing almost $280 million in funding for harbor revitalization.
