BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino purchased a three-minute T.V. spot on three major T.V. news stations in Buffalo, Thursday.
Paladino's message for New Yorkers deals with the controversy surrounding his campaign. Paladino paid for coverage of a message to air on Channel 4 and other stations at 5:13 p.m. on Thursday. The contents of that message were subject to secrecy, but have now been revealed.
Paladino addresses New Yorkers about the controversies that have surrounded his campaign, including his infidelity that resulted in a child being born out of wedlock. He notes that his family has come under attack over this, yet no one has bothered to ask these same type of questions to his Democratic challenger Andrew Cuomo, saying Cuomo's "prowess is legendary."
However, Paladino goes on to say that he will not make his campaign about accusations like that, and goes on to question why Cuomo will not step up to the plate and debate. He accuses Cuomo of being afraid of a debate.
Finally, for approximately the last third of the ad, Paladino brings out Nancy Naples, who recently joined the Paladino campaign as his Statewide Chairwoman , to ask that New Yorkers send in emergency donations to the Paladino campaign.
