NEW YORK, N.Y. (WIVB) - According to city officials, Alex Paterson was shooting dice with some friends near his New York City school when police approached and asked for identification.

They reportedly discovered that Paterson had a bank card that was under investigation with someone else's name on it and took him in for questioning.

Governor Paterson's son was issued a juvenile report for loitering with the purpose of gambling, and his mother Michelle picked him up at the police station.

The incident will be purged from police records once he turns 17, and he never has to appear in court for it.
