BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - To sell, or not to sell: that's the debate now dividing many western New Yorkers.
Governor David Paterson is looking to implement a plan that would allow grocery stores to sell wine. Supporters say this would generate more money for our cash-strapped state. But those who oppose the idea say it would run locally owned liquor stores out of business.
The Buffalo Common Council is now inviting people on both sides of the issue to voice their opinions at Tuesday's 2 p.m. meeting of the Legislation Committee.
