ALBANY, NY (AP) - Gov. Andrew Cuomo's communication director is calling it quits after just four months on the job.
Allison Gollust, who had recently worked for NBC Universal, will go to CNN Worldwide with her former boss, Jeffrey Zucker.
Gollust's departure is effective March 1. She'll be senior vice president for communications for CNN Worldwide.
With Cuomo, Gollust played a role mostly behind the scenes. She brought extensive television experience to Cuomo's public relations department and succeeded Richard Bamberger, another Cuomo aide with similar experience.
Gollust lives in Manhattan with her husband and two daughters.
No replacement has been announced.
Gollust has worked in public relations for NBC, including NBC News, MSNBC, "Dateline," "Meet the Press," and the "Today" show. She was the sole spokeswoman for anchors Katie Couric and Matt Lauer.
