BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Civil service exams scheduled across New York State for this weekend were postponed ahead of a powerful storm that promised to pack a punch.

State civil service exams have been postponed for one week. Written notices are being sent directly to candidates, but anyone with questions can contact the Department of Civil Service at 1-877-697-5627.

Erie County's civil service exams will take place as scheduled on Saturday.
