Soldier charged in Christmas shooting

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA (WIVB) - An arrest has been made in the Christmas Day shooting of a soldier from the Rochester area at a military base in Anchorage, Alaska.

Army Specialist Marshall Drake, 23 is accused of  wrongfully storing his personal firearm and ammunition in the barracks.  He is charged with involuntary manslaughter, negligent homicide and failure to obey regulations in the death of Pfc. Grant Wise, 25, from Fairport, New York.

 The Army is not releasing details on how the shooting occurred.

Drake is with the 25 th Infantry Division and is originally from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
