Southwest to launch Rochester flights

ROCHESTER, NY (WIVB) - Southwest Airlines will launch flights out of Rochester in April of next year. 

Southwest plans to convert existing AirTran Airways operations at the Rochester Airport, It is one of four cities across the country where Southwest will convert and merge operations with AirTran.

Currently, eighteen percent of Rochester air passengers use AirTran.
