NEW YORK (WIVB) - Anti-smoking crusaders claim Governor Andrew Cuomo is failing to deliver on his promise to help them.

Governor Cuomo said he would expand "tobacco cessation" efforts', but his proposal puts $40 million dollars into a pool for all the groups which is equal to what they get now.

The State Legislature restores $5 million dollars in cuts the Governor made to the same programs in 2012.

According to the cancer society, New York uses none of the $2 billion dollars in tobacco taxes it collects for programs that encourage people to quit using tobacco.
