ALBANY, NY (WIVB) - The State University of New York announced today that is rolling out a new easy to use financial tool for all SUNY 64 campuses. Applicants will use a standard financial aid award letter starting in the 2013-14 academic year.
The SUNY Smart Track campaign is designed to boil down the basics so students understand the cost of their education and help them to reduce student debt.
The new award letter will spell out financial aid offerings at each campus, the campus' graduation rate, median borrowing and loan default rate.
SUNY is the first and largest public higher education system to implement such a tool for students and families.
