Suspect gas price gouging? Report It

NYS sets up hotline, website to report suspicions

ALBANY, NY (WIVB) - The skyrocketing cost to fill up the family car is on everybody’s mind these days. Now you can do something about it if you think a gas station is unfairly raising its prices at the pump.

New York State has set up a new toll-free hotline and website to report your suspicions. New Yorkers can now report sudden and unexpected increases in retail gas prices by calling the gas pricing hotline at (800) 214-4372.

The Department of State's Division of Consumer Protection has also created an online complaint form .
