CHILI, N.Y. (WIVB) - A postal worker helped save a Rochester-area woman trapped in her burning home Thursday morning.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Barb Langdon saw smoke coming from the home in the Town of Chili and called 911. Langdon helped firefighters save 67-year-old Judy Ogg and then firefighters pulled out Ogg's 25-year-old daughter, the daughter's 4-year-old son and 7-month-old girl to safety.
Langdon said, "I just ripped the curtains down, put them on the ground, and was able - I don't know how - and got her out of the window. She fell on the ground. I just took my coat off and wrapped her up."
The people rescued from the house are listed in guarded condition. Three firefighters were injured fighting the flames, which took the life of a pet.
