BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Wegmans is recalling two sizes of its Organic Spinach & Spring Mix because they may be contaminated with E. coli.
The 11 oz. and 5 oz. containers were sold in stores between 10/14/2012 and 11/1/2012. The UPC for the 11 oz. is: 77890-16411 and the 5 oz. is: 77890-16437.
According to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, one of the reported cases of E. coli was in Niagara County.
A total of 16 cases have been reported thus far, a majority of them were in Monroe County.
Wegmans advises consumers with the product to throw it out and visit their service desk for a full refund. If you have further questions, call 1-800-WEGMANS.
