January 6th, 2013 - NEW YORK (AP)-- A tentative agreement has been reached between the NHL and the player's union, that will save the hockey season.
A marathon negotiation session that lasted more than 16 hours, finally ended early Sunday morning with a deal that ends the lockout on its 113th day.
According to ESPN, the tentative agreement includes a 10 year SBA with a mutual opt-out clause after eight years. The 2013-14 salary cap will be set at $64.3 million.
