NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Former Niagara Falls Mayor Vincenzo Anello pleaded guilty Thursday afternoon, in federal court, to the charge of knowing and intentionally making false statements, regarding his pension fund.
Federal Prosecutors allege that in May of 2009 he worked more than 30 hours a week as a master electrician, but claimed he only worked seven hours a week.
He could receive somewhere between 10 and 16 months in federal prison, when he is sentenced on December 20th.
