NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - A former Niagara Falls mayor could serve prison time in an embezzlement case.
Vince Anello is expected to plead guilty Thursday to a felony charge.
The Buffalo News reports he could admit he made false statements on paperwork he filed with the Electrical Workers' pension fund last year.
As part the a plea deal, federal prosecutors are expected to drop a corruption case against Anello.
He was accused of accepting a $40,000 loan from businessman Smokin' Joe Anderson while he was in office.
