Man near death after golf club beating

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police are seeking the public's help in finding who's responsible for beating a Niagara Falls man within an inch of his life.
Police say someone savagely attacked 46-year-old John Smith with a golf club. He was found in a pool of blood in an alley Tuesday morning and remains in critical condition. Police are urging any witnesses to come forward and call the detective bureau at 286-4553.
