NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police in Niagara Falls confirm they have arrested a man who was on the run from authorities.
The FBI and US Marshals have just confirmed they have arrested 34-year-old Michael Harvey, in connection to the death of a North Carolina Police Chief's daughter.
Harvey has been the prime suspect since 23-year-old Valerie Hamilton's body was found at a storage unit in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday.
She had been missing for four days.
Harvey used to live in Niagara Falls, and still has family in the area which lead police to believe he may return to the area.
Detectives say they arrested Harvey without incident, but they are still looking for the white Chevy Blazer involved in the case.
Detectives from North Carolina are on their way up to Niagara Falls Monday afternoon, to interview the suspect.
