YOUNGSTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard is remembering two New York crew members on the 10th anniversary of their deaths.

A memorial service and wreath-laying are scheduled for today in Youngstown, Niagara County.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Scott Chism and Seaman Chris Ferreby were patrolling the U.S.-Canada border in Lake Ontario March 23, 2001, when their boat struck a four-foot wave. They and two others were ejected from the 21-foot vessel.

The bodies were found the next day. Their fellow Station Niagara crewmembers were rescued from the 36-degree water and treated for hypothermia.

The Coast Guard's vice commander, Vice Adm. Sally Brice-O'Hara, and Ninth District Commander Mike Parks will attend the service at Old Fort Niagara, and the wreath laying to follow at the neighboring Station Niagara.
