SANBORN, N.Y. (WIVB) - A massive search Wednesday night located an autistic student who failed to return home from Niagara County Community College.
19-year-old Sean Nesbit's family reported him missing when he didn't come home from NCCC at the normal time Wednesday afternoon. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office considered him an "endangered person" and called in the Erie County Air One helicopter to help.
Investigators had a hunch that Nesbit may have mistakenly got on the wrong bus while trying to leave the college campus, and it turned out they were right. He was located at an NFTA Metro bus terminal on Portage Road in Niagara Falls around 8 p.m. after looking for him for four hours.
Nesbit was unharmed and returned to his grateful family.
