NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Daredevil Nik Wallenda completed his high-wire rehearsals Tuesday at the Seneca Niagara Casino.
But the Honeymoon Capital has plenty of work to do before Wallenda returns for his spectacular June 15th wire walk across the Mighty Niagara. Police will set up a zone system of parking on a first come, first served basis. Zone one will offer 1,200 spots between Third Street and the River. Zone two is the John Daly area. And zone three east of John Daly to Portage Road.
Niagara Falls Police Capt. Sal Pino said, "Not only is traffic going to be an issue down here, but so is the security of the people once they get here. There's a lot of parking. Some people will have to walk a few minutes to get down here but I think it'll be well worth it."
News 4 has learned Niagara Falls will charge ten dollars to park in city-owned facilities.
