NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Niagara Parks Police and Niagara Falls firefighters were at Whirlpool State Park, rescuing a man who fell into the gorge by Devil's Hole.
The hiker, believed to be around 30-years-old, fell in sometime around 6 p.m. on Friday, dropping around 60 to 70 feet. Sources tell News 4 the man is believed to be okay, but crews were unable to reach the individual trapped in the gorge for nearly three hours.
Eventually, they pulled him from the gorge and an awaiting Mercy Flight helicopter flew him to ECMC.
