NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Niagara Falls Police Superintendent John Chella will soon hang up his badge at the end of this year as he nears his retirement.
The 63-year-old started as a cop with the city 42 years ago. He eventually worked his way up and spent 21 years in narcotics until he was promoted to chief. He has served as the Superintendent for 9 years.
Administrative Captain John DeMarco will serve as interim superintendent until a replacement is decided on.
