NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - The City of Niagara Falls is closing the final chapter on a long delayed and controversial project.
News 4 has been investigating the Lewiston Road construction project for years. On Friday, the road finally re-opened to Main Street. The other section of Route 104 is not completed but traffic will be allowed to pass through.
The project was supposed to take two years but has taken longer than three years.
The city sued and fired contractor Man O' Trees last year. Niagara Falls hired a new contractor to finish the job.
