LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - A historic park is unveiling a much-needed makeover.

Reservoir Park in Lewiston held a ribbon-cutting Tuesday to mark the completion of a $6-million upgrade. The refurbishment was part of a joint effort between the New York Power Authority and State Office of Parks.

Empire State Development Regional President Sam Hoyt said, "We've turned what might have been a good or mediocre park, into really a magnificent or extraordinary example of what we can accomplish when we work together."

There are now plenty of areas for athletes young and old to have fun at the park, including re-vamped baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts.
