LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - Leaders in Niagara County joined several town supervisors Tuesday night to announce the creation of a cost-cutting committee that will focus on sharing services, reducing redundancies and saving taxpayers money.
Legislator Paul Wojtaszek said, "There is no reason moving forward to take the view that we should provide any government service in the manner we do just because that's because it's always been done."
The committee also plans to reach out to business leaders with the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce for their help in the streamlining process.
