NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Students, staff, and parents are all taking a stand against bullying in Niagara Falls.
Dozens of people marched in the rain during the 2nd annual Stop Bullying Walk at Whirlpool State Park. The event is hosted by the Niagara Charter School to raise awareness about the harm bullying creates.
School counselor Cheri Keetch said, "Some of our kids starting to embrace what bullying is and how to stand up for themselves. I think having this event helps the students that it's not and right and that it's wrong and that they need to stand up for themselves and anyone else they see."
Saturday's walk is part of National Bully Prevention Month.
